MoU between BSCA & Center for Accreditation of the Republic of Uzbekistan
On August
14-21, 2018 the delegation of
the Center for accreditation under the National Agency of Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
visited Belarus.
Within the
framework of the visit to BSCA on August 17, 2018 a working meeting was held
between the heads of accreditation bodies Umid Alozhuzhayev (Republic of
Uzbekistan) and Tatyana Nikolaeva (Republic of Belarus).
During the
working meeting the parties presented the National Accreditation Systems of
both countries, agreed on the text of the Memorandum of Cooperation between
the Center for accreditation under the National Agency of Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and BSCA and discussed activities
to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of accreditation between the
two countries.
The signing
of the Memorandum took place in a solemn ceremony in the State Committee for
Standardization of the Republic of Belarus. The signing ceremony was attended
by Deputy Chairman of the the State Committee for Standardization
Dmitry Bartashevich.
The
Memorandum of Understanding provides for the exchange of information on the
practice of accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, mutual training of
specialists, as well as other joint activities on topics relevant to
accreditation bodies - working meetings, thematic seminars and conferences
aimed at mutual assistance in signing and observance by the parties of
multilateral agreements on the recognition of EA MLA, ILAC MRA and IAF MLA.
For reference use: By the Decree of the President of the Republic
of Uzbekistan (30.03.2018 № PD-3643),
the Center for accreditation under the National Agency of Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was established. The functions of the Uzbek Agency for
Standardization, Metrology and Certification for accreditation and inspection
control of conformity assessment bodies, test and calibration laboratories were
transferred to this Center.
