Accreditation Council of the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus
The Accreditation Council of the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus (Accreditation Council) is a collegial advisory body which acts on the basis of the Provision approved by Decree of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus No. 32. of April 26, 2017.
The Accreditation Council is initiated in accordance with Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 437-З of October 24, 2016 On Assessment for Compliance with Technical Requirements and on Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies; the Accreditation Council is an accreditation performer and is a part of the structure of the National Accreditation System https://bsca.by/ru/accreditation-council.
Primary targets of the Accreditation Council:
assessment of functioning of the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus;
monitoring the implementation of the goals of the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus;
mastering recommendations on the development and improvement of the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus.
Composition of the Accreditation Council is formed by the accreditation body and approved by the order of the Chairman of the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of the following parties come into the Accreditation Council:
- the accreditation body;
- republican bodies of state regulation;
- conformity assessment bodies;
- scientific organizations;
- public associations of manufacturers, entrepreneurs, consumers.
The Accreditation Council mainly conducts its activities through meetings, which are held as needed, but at least once a year.
