THE MISSION OF IFC CONSULTANT
In the framework of the International Finance
Corporation Belarus NQI and BR Project which is implemented by International
Finance Corporation (IFC) and by the State Committee for Standardization of the
Republic of Belarus in order to improve investment climate in the Republic of Belarus
the mission of IFC consultant on accreditation Mr. Tibor Czocher (Slovakia) was
held on December 12-16, 2016 in
Minsk and Brest.
The purpose of the
mission is to carry
out readiness assessment of testing laboratories accredited in the National
Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus so as to pass the peer-evaluation
by the European Cooperation for the Accreditation in 2017, which will lead to accession of the Republic
of Belarus to the Multilateral Recognition Agreements (ILAC and IAF).
During the mission, Mr. Tibor Czocher visited a
number of accredited laboratories of JV JSC "Brestgazoapparat", the
Brest Centre for Standardization, Metrology and Certification. Within the
framework of visits, the interviews with BSCA staff and specialists of
accredited laboratories were conducted. The interviews were focused on the issues
concerning demonstration by accredited laboratories of evidences of compliance with
the requirements for traceability measurement results according to the document
ILAC-P10:01/2013 ILAC Policy for the
metrological traceability of measurement results.
The consultant also discussed the action plan
prepared by the BSCA in order to bring the legal framework of the Republic of
Belarus in the field of accreditation in accordance with the adopted Law of the
Republic of Belarus of October 24, 2016 №437-3 "On the conformity
assessment and technical requirements and accreditation of conformity
assessment bodies".
