MoU SIGNED BETWEEN BSCA & BUREAU OF ACCREDITATION

Memorandum of Understanding signed between BSCA and Bureau of Accreditation on March 21, 2016.

The Bureau of Accreditation (BoA) was established on November 10, 1995 on the Decision signed by the Minister of Science and Technology (formally named Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment). BoA offers accreditation programs for Laboratories, Certification bodies and Inspection bodies.

BoA is a full member of the Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC), the Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC). BoA is a signatory to the relevant MLAs/MRAs for mutual recognition of the accreditation schemes for the following fields: calibration laboratories, testing laboratories, medical laboratories, inspection bodies, bodies certifying products certification, bodies certifying management systems.

The Memorandum provides for the exchange of information on accreditation of conformity assessment bodies, training, as well as other joint activities (working meetings, thematic workshops and conferences) of mutual concern and interest.
