ЕА МАС positive decision: BSCA joined EA BLA
On October 3, 2018 in
Budapest (Hungary), in the framework of the 40th meeting of the EA Multilateral Agreement Council (MAC), the
positive decision was made to join the accreditation body of the Republic of
Belarus to the EA BLA for:
- Testing
laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025;
- Calibration
laboratories according to ISO/IEC 17025;
- Certification
bodies for Persons according to ISO/IEC 17024;
- Certification
bodies for Products according to ISO/IEC 17065;
- Certification
bodies for Management systems according to ISO/IEC 17021-1.
For
reference use: The European Organization for Accreditation (EA) is
the official accreditation infrastructure in the European Union in accordance
with EU Regulation No. 765/2008. European accreditation bodies must maintain
membership in this organization in order to create an equivalent level of
reliability of conformity assessment performed by accredited CABs. Mutual trust
and recognition of the conformity assessment results are based on the results
of peer-evaluations of the accreditation bodies according to the EA-2/02
procedure. If the results of the peer-evaluations are positive, the accreditation
bodies join the EA MLA (EA BLA).
Based
on this positive decision, the Belarusian State Accreditation Center (BSCA) will sign
agreements on mutual recognition with the The European Organization for Accreditation (EA), The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and The International Accreditation Forum (IAF) in October-November of the current year.
The agreements on mutual recognition of EA BLA, ILAC MRA and IAF
MLA will create conditions for the recognition of the results of accreditation of
Belarusian CABs abroad. In practice, such recognition is the most important
tool used by participants in international trade to ensure favorable conditions
for the movement of goods to foreign markets. Certainly, this event is a big
step towards the removal of technical barriers to trade.
